Foundation-2001

Banadir College of Education, established in 2001 in Mogadishu, Somalia, has been a leading institution in teacher education for over 25 years. The college is dedicated to producing skilled educators and advancing the quality and innovation of Somalia’s education sector.

First Graduation (2001–2003)

Banadir College of Education proudly held its first graduation ceremony during the 2001–2003 academic years, awarding diplomas to 294 pioneering students. This milestone marked the beginning of the college’s enduring legacy in preparing qualified educators and strengthening Somalia’s education sector.

Campus Expansion-2002

In 2002, Banadir College of Education expanded its campus to include modern classrooms, well-equipped libraries, and teacher training facilities. This expansion strengthened our commitment to providing high-quality education programs and supporting the professional development of future educators.

International Recognition-2015

Achieved accreditation and recognition from international education bodies and university associations

Digital Innovation

Banadir College of Education has been embracing technology to enhance learning. Since 2002, the College has maintained a fully equipped Computer Lab, providing students with practical ICT skills. In 2024, we launched a state-of-the-art Virtual Lab, specifically designed for science subjects, offering interactive and immersive experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, further strengthening our commitment to technology-driven education.
