Degree in Education Program

A comprehensive five-year degree program aimed at preparing future educators in four key disciplines. Students can study either full-time or part-time, ensuring flexible access to quality education for various learner needs.

Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education at Banadir College of Education is composed of the following four departments, each offering specialized programs of study:

1.      Department of Mathematics & Physics

This department focuses on equipping students with strong foundational knowledge in mathematics and physics, along with modern teaching methodologies to effectively engage students in these challenging subjects.

2.      Department of Biology & Chemistry

Aimed at fostering a deep understanding of biology and chemistry, this department trains educators to teach these scientific subjects in ways that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and practical experimentation.

3.      Department of Social Studies

In this department, students learn to teach the interdisciplinary subject of social studies, which combines history, geography, economics, and civics. The focus is on developing socially responsible educators who can inspire students to engage with the world around them.

4.      Department of Islamic Studies

This department prepares educators to teach Islamic Studies, focusing on both the religious and cultural aspects of the curriculum. It fosters an understanding of Islamic teachings and their application in the modern world.
